Bridging the Gap provides virtual reality videos for resettlement that are presented to newly arrived refugees at Cultural Orientation meetings at the IRC
OBJECTIVES
- Assist refugees to bypass trauma or discomfort of their new environment through virtual reality.
- Increase digital literacy within the refugee community via emergent technology.
-Collaboratively create with communities of students and current and former refugees digital content for resettlement.
- Utilize virtual spaces as a medium to introduce community resources and spaces such as education, healthcare and law.
- Co-create at the intersection of social design and emerging technologies to generate catalytic output.
